In civil plans or utility plans it’s obvious to show the dimension from pipe to finish grade which represent as a clear cover or depth. Most of the time we use simple CAD dimension to show that but its not dynamic when the pipe is updated the dimension will not update and also when we move the section for any reason the dimension remains the same. In general need additional attention to deal this. But using civil 3d we can add dimension which is dynamic and also show the same information in section band style.
